I struggle with calling myself a “single mom” because that brings to mind a woman who is doing it completely on her own, with no help. I share custody of my amazing son, Smiley, so I only have him part time, and I have found a soul mate (the Writer) who I intend to be with for the rest of my life, but he travels a lot and cannot be with us as much as we’d like.
So…I’m a “singleish” mom.
I’m always a mom and I’m always a partner, I just don’t always have Smiley or the Writer with me.
